i hava question...in photoshop, how do you make just like a plain non- filled rectangle or circle or any other shape...?? like all i can seem to make are shapes filled with a color but i only want the outline..ok, and another related question:how do you set like a border around the perimeter of your image (like on a lott of avavtars), please help me !!

Personally, I just zoom in and draw the border in myself. Then you can have it watever pixel size you want.

You can double click on the layer where your shape is at and then the Layers Style box will pop up. Highlight the Stroke option and you can change the color from red to black and make the stroke size like 1px for a thin black border.
