The Wish

She stares at the sky,
Wanting to be there,
While her tears fall from her face
She asks herself why,
She feels incomplete,
She needs to fill that space

Combing her hair,
She looks into the night,
Still sobbing her heat out
Feeling so empty, needing insight

She hugs herslef tight, so as not to be cold
Waiting for that something or someone to make her whol

Then there's a twinkle,
A twinkle in the sky,
"I wish I may, I wish I might"
She says under her breath,
Making a wish,
Drying her tears,
She puts on a weak smile

I was originally going to use it for Homework but I changed my mind and wrote another poem

cute. for some reason i want to use the word 'quaint' to describe what you wrote. but i like it. good job!
