i think it's stupid for anyone to say that you can't wear a certain thing just because of the way you dress. stereotyping is wrong. so, therefore, i think anyone who wants to wear them can wear them. who are you to judge? if they want to spend their money on them, they have every right to wear them.

i think that it's oblivious when preps wear converses. most of them are just wearing them because it's a "trend". Pretty soon---when the fad of cons wears out, you'll see all the preppys moving onto another fashion statement.

Gosh ! They're just Emme Effin` shoes ! What shoes you wear shouldn't decide whether you're a prep, emo, skater, etc. Chuck Taylor shoes were meant for basketball by the way. I don't know how it got with skateboarding. I wear Chucks and I like it because it's pretty easy to match with. You have a red shirt .. well I have some red Chucks ! But yeah I do have to agree, wearing Chuck's just to make you look punk is bad. But, most don't wear it for that purpose. Oh yeah, in school I saw this old teacher wearing pink fuschia chucks. HAHAHAHAAHA

Yeah i dont care who wears them but i hate when people stuff the shoes with socks. Even though it looks nice on some poeple but it still gets me mad.

I wouldn't wear them. And no one here wears them except for punks and theatre people. But nothing's wrong with that.

Half my school wears Chucks. Then again its a very liberal school. The noticeable people that wear Chucks are the hippies and thats because their's are falling apart. I don't wear mine much anymore. Sandals are easier to put on in the morning. If the preps at my school wore Chucks I wouldn't care. Some of the "ghetto" kids wear them. It bugs me that something as stupid as shoes should have to fit a subculture. Especially ones that used to be for the poor kids (ask your parents about that) Even in white trash highschools you'd get laugh at for wearing those back when our parents were kids.

i think that chucks shouldnt be labeled to a single sterotype i mean if you really like them who cares! .. they are just shoes that you can add to your wardrobe. i love them w/ jeans and i am neither punk/emo or prep.

I don't think its okay for someone to say what someone can or can't wear. thye are friggen shoes...its not the end of the world.

I don't really care if preps wear Converse, because it looks bad. You preps honestly look like the biggest posers to me when you wear Chucks. However, when Converse started making unpunkish shoes and more preppy styled Converses, i got really pissed off.

It's just a brand of shoes. Not like it's "only" made for a type of human. It's made for everyone. I wear chucks, I'm Chinese. What's wrong with that? Nothing.

i love the recent chuck taylors they are AWESOME. but some of them are hard to match clothes, like they mostly match jeans, but then the jeans cover them and i can't wear capris or dickies cause they cut off at the shin. and i cant wear shin cutted pants cause i have stubby legs

I think converse are the only shoe that anyone can wear. Rockers, hip hop people, preps, gangsters, emo kids, preps. Everyone wears them and they don't look weird.
