But that is why groups like the Protestants, Baptists, Catholics, etc. are called denominations and not Christianity itself. Each worship a different way but still retain the most core belief of Christianity, that Jesus is the Savior.

I think it was something a bunch of people made up a long time ago to make people feel as if there was a higher power that controled everything they do. Just more of comfort thing.
