I used to collect and play MAGIC cards about 5 years ago. I sort of grew out of it partly because I couldn't keep up with all the new editions. I think I still have about 5000 cards - I'm somehow reluctant to throw them away. Has anyone else here played MAGIC before?

haha. you know how much black lotuses cost now? $2500! Unfortunately I didn't start collecting them that early

ahhh...i used to play mtg. i played wen blue control, green stompy and red destruction were the best decks, but i still have some cards from 1st edition and stuff like that.

oh god what a great game. it was huge at my school around 6th grade... now i'm in 12th and we're bringing it back. about 4-5 of us play when we have a free together... fun stuff

i refuse to spend any more money buying cards though

i used to play, i still have my decks somewhere under my bed i think.

my cards are somewhere in my closet or under my bed.

it's crazy to see a card worth a lot of money...but then again Magic was fun back in the day

i think yu-gi-oh is the best japanese card game, although i've never played either

Yeah, i have the cards still....im actually tryin to get back into the game...but its so hard to keep up with all the editions...its like there is almost a new edition every few months....phew.....But i havent really played lately i been busy with football...Oh well

Oops almost for got...I play with a Black/Green deck....Fast Mana....Big Creature...seems to work good....i can get some good sized 7/7's and 10/10's out pretty quick like

I had a black Necropotence deck with bad moons and black knights

red Burn decks are pretty powerful

my mom said, the game was demonic, ( seeing that my mom was the number 1 place i go for money ) i couldnt buy it.

i used to b obsessed with it, until all these crappy new editions were coming out and i didnt have the money to afford it or the time to keep up with it, but MTG was really fun...ii remember i used to have an awesome burn deck

Anyhow, Magic cares.. they look all.. well.. CONFUSING! Pokemon is better! Although I got like 2 packs of Magic cards for free. Then I gave it way. They looked all wierd. That was SO 3 years ago, lol. And pokemone cards, I got those for free too! The old school ones, like the first pokemon show ones.. with Pikachu and of course.. Chancy! *sigh* I love that Chancy...

I was looking through my cards for the first time in a few years the other day and if I actually had anybody to play against, I'm afraid I would have got addicted to it again. My friend informed me of all these new cards that were being made with abilities such as "indestructible" (this card cannot be the target of abilities that "destroy"). Damn it, that's just taking the piss.

i played magic from around torment to legions... then it got so broken with those stupid artifacts.

They're like Pokemon cards in disguise...even though Magic did come before Pokemon cards. A friend tried to teach me how to play but I just wasn't feelin' it.

i think i played until urza's saga came out. The foiled cards put me off

still playing. 8th grade in NY revolves around playing card games o_0! using mono-blue counters, but im not playing as seriously i i used to...

got some -bling bling- after i sold my black deck. was the best deck in the house!
