Has anyone ever heard of or seen Wicked? It's about the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch Glinda from 'Wizard of Oz' you know, before Dorothy came along. I read the book by Gregory Maguire from which the musical is based on and I absolutely LOVE it! I really want to go see the musical version, though I hear it's loosely based on the book.

Maguire names the Wicked Witch "Elphaba" after the initials of the original author of 'Wizard of Oz', L. Frank Baum. LFB translates to Elphaba .. somehow. (: I thought that was interesting. Anyways, it's a really good book and you guys should look into it!

The musical was friggin awesome!!! Idina Menzel is just amazing. It's a shame that she's no longer in it

But as for if you should see it...Wicked the Musical is awesome if you haven't read the book (which I haven't). Most people who've read the book and then see the musical are a bit dissappointed. They come out either hating or loving it.

Did you hear that she fell through her trapdoor the other day and broke a rib, so she wasn't able to perform her own finale show? :/ But I hear she made an appearance. I hope she gets better soon to start filming 'Rent' the movie!

One of my friends is such a theater buff, she can't wait for Idina (and her sexy husband Taye Diggs) to film Rent. She was depressed when she found out Rosario Dawson is going to be in it.

Hm, sounds familiar. I think I heard about the broadway. Like in the comcast channel of 65. The Entertainment aka E! channel... they were mentioning about the wicked witch actress and it was also talking about her other broadways. But yeah I never watched it.
