Does anyone here read anime magazines?
The only one I read is Anime Insider.
I'm not too familiary with any others. ermm.gif
Are there any that you would recommend to others?

'Cause AI gives a lot of reviews for mangas, DVDs, series, and previews in each issue for new mangas that are gonna' come out.
Also, fanart is shown and there are anime items that you can buy and sometimes they interview the creators of the mangas/anime. happy.gif

I read Shonun Jump once in a while, but not regularly. mellow.gif

Yeah I've seen those, but I never thought of buying 'em.
Are they any good?

Hm... I read video games magazines, if that counts cause they also mentions anime games too so yeah hehe. Well I don't always look at it... I don't even buy it at all. I just see it from my brother... he has a lot I think hehe

um...there's a magazine called Newtype UsA...its really good...it has all this anime info but um...>.< its expensive!!
Shattered_Hope
Shonen Jump I think that's how it's spelt and yes it is good.
capsule
Shonen Jump is just a collaboration of manga series, not really a "magazine"..

anyways, good anime magazines: Newtype-USA and Animerica.

weirdness
shonen jump is the only anime magazine i know. my friend subscribes to it.

There was one ... but it was like an import one. It was so freaking awesome but it's $12 per issue at B&N and Borders. I was like gawking at it. It's $120 for like 10 months.

I get Newtype usa its like 12.99 but I stopped buying them. They come with a free demo anime dvd and a poster *YAY*
Shonen jump and there is another one called animenation but I only saw it once so not even sure if it kept going.

If you guys need a place to get anime info or need to download I recommend www.animesuki.com <--- leading anime distributers. Has forums and everything

BUMP.

I used to read Newtype, but the subscription is too expensive, and so is buying it at the newsstand.

I did, however, subscribe to ShojoBeat, which is a manga magazine. It rocks my world over and over again.
islandgirl4eva
Wow, double post. Oh well, I'm bringing this topic back up.

I know there are a few people in AO that read ShojoBeat magazine. Does anyone else read/subscribe to any anime/manga mags? COME ON. Do tell happy.gif
F_L_I_P

I used to get Newtype USA but I stopped. Way too expensive.
Now I get Shojo Beat.

I mentioned somewhere that I "read" Shonen Jump. If you had to take a wild guess as to why I actually get it... Well, I get the feeling you'd be right. If you knew me at all. No seriously. I only started reading the other manga because it seemed interesting and I needed something to do while I waited for the next issue. =X
And Takuhai (spelling anyone?), but I don't seem to be getting it. Maybe I'll resubscribe or something. Can't beat free manga. Psh.
islandgirl4eva
Takuhai sends out mags like, once every blue moon. It's sad. I think I have two or three issues. Not sure, anymore -___--

I'm signed up for a free quarterly magazine from Tokyopop. the newest issue is supposed to be coming soon. happy.gif

I sometimes read Shonen Jump... cause my friends subscribe to it. I'm to cheap to buy my own anime mags. laugh.gif
tokyo-rose
There's Shojo Beat if you like shojo.
bigitchbay
Shojo Beat and Questor.
lovescream
My friend has shojo beat so I read it whenever I'm bored at her house. I love looking through its advertisements for fashion haha. I also read shounen jump from time to time because my shounen-obsessed friend brings them to school. <:]
Just_Dream
I used to buy shonen jump, from wayyy back then. I even had issue 1 :P Not issue 0 though, since that was released through San Diego Comic-Con. T_T I didn't even know about Comic-Con back then :/

Anyway, I've moved on and now I subscribe to ShojoBeat. It's the only anime/manga magazine that I even read. NewType, Animerica, and others are too expensive for me to keep up with =X
lanbexx
shonen jump = shit. honestly. it really is.

newtype is the only anime magazine (in my experience) worth reading. no other one's compare.
