Which tutorial are you using? And are you using Photoshop? Are you using the background eraser?

If the Mya one's not working for you, I'd try another one. http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29389 . Okay, so maybe that's a Paint Shop Pro tutorial. But for Photoshop it's basically the same. Just use the Rectangle selection tool, set the feathering px to about 20, and drag. Then press the delete button. If you need any further help, just PM me. If I have the energy I'll do a screen shot.

Yea that sounds like the same thing as the tutorial I provided. The feathering technique is definitely a great way for beginners to learn how to blend. If you can't get that then I dunno! mellow.gif

You could always try the background eraser and erase around the object. Put the pictures together, add a background, and you're done. It's like [2]Nekked's blending tutorial. It turns out nicer if your pictures have similar backgrounds.

And if you don't understand, go to souldreamer's tutorial. Basically the same as the PSP one, but Photoshop-style =] Hehe. I didn't see it, but I see it now, so check her's out.

i would recommend trish/[2]nekked's tutorial, or the gradient overlay blending one. the last one i mentioned is really useful.
