alot of ppl got ipods and mp3 players for xmas this year.. i got a Creative Zen Micro which competes vs the Ipod Mini.. way better

but im not the big fan of Ipod and using there software unlike creative and other players.

maybe ur talking about the mini but the mini holds way more songs than that.. probaly around atleast 4000 or 4 gigs.

personally, i think no matter what you want out of a player there are better choices than ipod.

I dont have one, but I have alot of friends that either have or want one. I personally dont want one. I dont listen to enough music to need one. My chorus director has one, and he is OBSESSED with it..he downloads music to it, and carries it everywhere he goes; we call it his "baby."

...and no, you don't HAVE to get the songs at iTunes for 99¢ each. Just download from like Limewire or Kazaa or etc. and put it into iTunes and just drag it into "iPOD"

i have an ipod, and i love it.

but since the ipod released, alot of companies started making mp3 players because they saw that the idea of one was really good. the ipodwasnt the first mp3 player, but it was the first major successful one. there arent any mp3 players around that look liek the ipod tho. at least i havent seen any.

i know this answer didnt really have anything to do with your questions, but the ipod is hte first mp3 player with an "I" in front of its name cause Iriver mp3 players arent called iriver's. they have names. calling an iriver mp3 player an "iriver" is like calling an apple ipod an "apple".

Holy crap. I recently went to NYC and everywhere I saw white iPod headphones. Seriously, in a 3 day span, I saw at least 15 iPod users. And that's when I DON'T pay attention. A lot of my friends also have (or had) an ipod. I know about 20 people in my school with iPods.

I think iPods are a bit overrated. Not that they're not any good or anything, it's just that, what's with all the hype? Why are people shelling out so much money to buy this thing that...plays music? Just to be cool? I think that's just stupid to me.

The iPod is no longer something that plays music, it's now a status symbol. Bs to me. I'd rather have something nobody else has, thanks.

well yeah gigi i have to agree that there are a lot of people out there who get it because it's a trend and a status symbol but for me, i've been wanting one for a longggg time. i like that it can hold all my music and that i can take it everywhere and that it's small enough that i can listen to it during class haha. but yeah they are getting a bit overrated. everyone either has one or wants one it seems.

iPod photo is dumb. why would you spend 100 more bucks just for a color screen and pictures? why would you go around saying "hey, you want to see pictures from my family vacation 4 years ago?" just buy an all-in-one pocket media center for a little more and you'll get movies too.
