Rap is certainly NOT the best music ever made. It doesn't even deserve to be called music. And they're aren't any strong lyrics, it's all fast words about sex and drugs. And why do they have to talk all ghetto and weird? Does it make them think they look "cool" talking like that? Why don't they just speak proper English like most people? I have no respect for rap at all.

im offended by that because im of course black and i follow rap music all the time all rap music isnt about sex drugs and drinking so your conception is all wrong. there are positive rap artist, nas, talib kweli, common, mos def, gangstarr etc. i can go on for hours its like poetry most of it is about drugs but thats what the artist knows personally from me growing up inthe projects i understand and relate because the drug dealers were our role models as sad as i am to say it. and the pimps were the ones who had all the girls. and all the money all the guys wanted to be like them and thats where the sex influence comes from, these people were the ones who had enough money to buy all the kids in the hood ice cream and still have enough money to buy 5 jaguars. talking ghetto... omg its not like we think its cool to speak like that but this is all we know proper english never exsisted in the hood. everyone talks slang its like some kind of code that we live by thats all we got besides a few roaches and mice. and its not even that. in the inner city no one gives a shit about the minority so our schooling isnt what it needs to be. so its obvious to me that u know absolutly shit about what your talking about. its fine if you dont have any respect for rap but understand that there is a reason why they rap about sex and violence. in some areas of the projects people die every day either from a drug overdose or from a bullet to the head. rap is all we got so why not share out struggle with the world and share to them what its really like to live in poverty to be broke, to seel drugs. all we got is our name and we gotta defend it by any means necissary even if it means your life.

I know people might not like his string of music, but to blatantly say he sucks without reason, now that's just wrong. Eminem is such a poet. You don't have to agree with what he is rapping about, but you can appreciate the form, the words flow from his mouth like crystal, clear water in a river.
