How is your relationship with you grandparents?

My father's mother is an alcoholic so I hardly talk to her. I've never met my grandfathers because they both died before I was born. And my other grandmother is like my second mother so our relationship is awesome. Sometimes I get upset because I'd love to at least have one of my grandfathers alive because they both seemed like such great people but life goes on.

dad's side
grandma: she lives in china, the last time i saw her i was a baby
grandpa: he died when i was like 2 years old

mom's side
grandma: she's not very pleasant
grandpa: he's pretty nice, but there's that language barrier

i know this guy who's grandma is an alcoholic, he lives with her, for some reason his mom lives somewhere else...and his dad passed away when he was younger...his grandma isn't a nice lady...

i'm not too close to any of my grandparents... i never met my grandpa on my dad's die because he died when i was young and the other 3 all live far away...

not so close because im like one of the youngest grandchilden, most of them are like in there twenty's or thirty's...im only 13!! so my relationship isnt too close...plus it kind of hard for me to communicate with her..b/c she speaks tagalog [a filipino language] , sadly i cant speak it but gladly understand it...so yehh...

dads side:
granny: umm, we don't hate each other.. i think i'm her favorite, though ;)
grandpa: never met him.. he died before i was born.

mom's side:
granny: she's in a nursing home, but we frequently ( not always ) see her every Saturday... she's kinda boring =/
grandpa: he died when i was 6 =/ he was mean to me when i was little, so i don't know how i feel now...

and they all speak chinese, so sometimes i don't know what they're talking about..

i LOVEEEEE all my grandparents!!!!! they are fantastic!!! i'm happy to have grandparents like thsie who care so much about me.

Dad's side:
- Grandma isn't doing very well; she has cancer.
- Grandpa is totally awesome! We visit them in the summers.

Mom's side:
- Grandma acts like my 2nd mother, which gets very annoying.
- Grandpa is getting old and is super funny and lazy.

My favorite part is getting spoiled.

My mothers parents are Co-Signers on my house lol. I have a great relationship with them they live 2 1/2 hours away and I see them almost every month. My grandmother's mother is still alive as well, she will be 93 this year

My fathers parents are mexican and they have their favorite grandchildren and they are not my sister and I. We hardly see them and they live 5mins from us. Funny how things like that work.

All of my grandparents have passed away.
I only met one of them, and he passed away when I was 8.

He was very kind, and I loved visiting him.

on my daddys side..i'm kind of close w/ them. I adore the soo much.

on my mamas side...i never met my grandaddy & he died when i was like 8..my grandmama is best though

me and my grands are very close! i never want them to leave! we always have so much fun together! they are 70 and they act like teens! i love them so much!

well my grandma lives with me we're not all too close cus i don't really.. like her cus she screams too much. my other grandpa from my dad's side.. we arent close close but every time we get to see each other and i leave; i give him a hug. its like a routine now.. and its really weird too cus i never give anyone elses hugs in my family not even my mom.

i was VERY close w/ all of my grandparents. scratch that, i still am, though my dad's father passed away 6 years ago. it was really hard because he was like everybody's friend, just the coolest dude you could ever meet. i don't think we've fully recovered, but i'm very lucky to have grown closer to my family after that happened, and i'm very grateful to have the family that i do.

Mom's side: Love them
Dad's side: never really got the chance to really meet them & have converstations with them

Grandfather.
He passed away before I was born. So...no comment.
Grandmother.
She's like 95...so there's really not that much we can talk about. But she says all the funniest things about her maid. (she needs help. And she lives in Hong Kong where many people hire maids).

Mom's side
Grandfather.
Again, has passed away before my birth.
Grandmother.
I have a much better relationship with her than my other grandmother. Still, I don't really talk to her about much. =\

not that great...I live at least a continent away from my grandparents..I haven't seen them since I was 4 years old..

haha yeah everyone hires maids in hk, philopino (sp?) maids and you see them all over the parks on sundays hehe

one grandfather was dead before i was born. the other lives in taiwan. quite the silent one. but he seems nice. one grandmother died when i was 5. she was the best. only real memory that i have is when i was eating a bowl of trix and then i spilled it and then i cried. then she cleaned it up and got me a new bowl of trix. ah, good times...good times. i miss her sometimes. she was like, the best. other grandmother....yeah. lets not go there, shall we?

i only like my grandpa on my mom's side. the rest of them are like soooo mean to me they make up stuff that i didnt do and tell my parents so i would get in trouble because they dont like me.

Grandma- fabulous relationship..
Grandpa- ok relationship.. dont talk much, but yeah..

also thai helpers. thai and philipino. when i was younger.. i had a chinese helper. lol!
