In my guess, i think usher, alicia keys, eminem, or outkast ruled the music of 2004..but it's 2005 now..so who do you think will have the biggest impact in music of 2005?

i think eminem will continue since his disk came out in the end of the year and also, usher and alicia keys are probably going to stay for a while... new artists... i don't really know.

You forgot to mention Beyonce, who was also huge last year.
Well, I'm not really sure who'll be big this year considering that all the big artists just released albums pretty recently or sometime last year.

Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez.

Ah! That would be so awesome if the Spice Girls came back! haha. Yeah, Beyonce was really blown up in 2004...it was annoying.

LOL! Oh man that would be terrible. I hope that doesn't happen. Well Hanson DID do that whole "Penny and Me" song.. I didn't like that tho. My favorite song by Hanson is "MMMBop" hahaha that song kicked so much butt. Alright I'm getting off topic.. kay just as everyone else is saying.. I think Alicia Keys, Usher, and Eminem will be a big impact. Maybe Christina Agulara (sp) will start getting people's attention again. Who knows..?

Uh, Slipknot.
If people would actually give them a chance and stop pretending that they have no talent whatsoever. JUST READ THEIR FREAKING LYRICS. THEY HAVE STRUCTURE, THEY HAVE TALENT! JUST PUT YOUR PREFERENCES ASIDE AND GIVE THEM A F*CKING CHANCE.

I surely hope John Legend and his new album have a big impact this year. R&B music needs it.

i don't really know...but i doubt usher will make it big this year...his songs will probably end up annoying people, i personally hated his cd, i don't think i even finished listening to it...what a waste of my 4 bucks (i got the bootleg), it's so overrated
i hope christina aguilera doesn't make a "comeback"

I don't think it'll be beyonce and usher. They were big in 2004, and i doubt that they'll keep it up...
I'm not really sure who'll be big....probably bowling for soup will get more popular..and i have a feeling maroon 5 will too. Alicia Keys i think will be big and maybe gwen stefani...i'm not sure tho, we'll have to wait n' see

It's hard to say who will musically influence others this year. I think Deadstar Assembly might get signed this year. Sigh. They were on MTV last year and did a bunch of other stuff, I'm surprised they haven't been living large for a while already.

Ooooh, I think I've figured it out. Since Alicia Keys racked up so many Grammy nominations this year (oh, what a surprise), perhaps she'll go win them all as she has previously and then everyone who hasn't bought the album already will go run out and get it.
Remember what happenned last time she won 6 awards? Her fame and record sales sky rocketed.
Ooooh, I can't wait!!!

Outkast totally was a big impact this year.. with like 3 crazy songs that they put out, it rocked my school consisting of over 2,000 kids. Crazy.
Even though I don't like Outkast, I believe they made a big impact this year.

yea i gotta admit.. those rappers r pretty good. they might make big on 2005.. im not sure bout kanye though cuz his song "All Falls Down" was surprisingly 1# on the top MTV countdown for 2004, cuz that song wasnt that good in my opinion.
Alicia Keys... yea definitely her.. her singing is hecka good, and that song "If I Ain't Got You," really made a good point.
The Game.. ack, i gotta admit, his rhymes r pretty good.
Maybe Adreinne Lau might get big
(her home page).. she's ugly... but her singing is good though.
Ehhh.. I heard Puffy AmiYumi is gonna hit american mainstream pop.. oh no... i have no clue what's gonna happen to them.

Does it really matter which artist will have the biggest impact? i like music, but seriously, who cares? as long as the SONGS sound good, it doesnt matter which artist it is. so really, not a big deal.

interesting way you pointed that out. but the person who started this topic wanted peoples' opinions about this. it may doesn't matter about the biggest impact in music to you, but for some people, it does.
