linkin park is perhaps one of the best rock bands in the history of music...what do you all think of Linkin Park?

cool! im first! linkin park is prettty good. i like their new song with jay-z, numb/encore.

yeah, i like the whole collision course cd..it's cool

i love linkin park. bu they sort of went on hiatus after meteora? and the joining up with jay-z is cool, i've heard numb so far..

sorry but i dont like them anymore. i used to obviously but now i dont. i realized they sound like rap and now they doubled with collision course that makes it even worse..ugh

i love linkin park =D but not to the point i'd go crazy over them =/

I have to disagree. Even though I love Linkin Park I do not think they are the best rock group in history. I would have to say that Metallica is. IMO

One of the best rock bands ever? I'd like to hear some of your reasons why you think that. I wouldnt even put them in the top 100. They're vocals are awful and only 1 member of the band truly knows how to play his instrument. Ofcourse this opinion is coming from a musician and metal fan (metal is all about instreumentals). Its a bunch of ear curtling screaming mixed with rapping? Its not a rock band its just a music commodity

Why do people like metallica?

Because prior to "the Black Album" Metallica was the living definition of rock, since then theyve been the biggest sellouts in the history of music. I still wouldn't call them the greatest rock band of all time though.

i love linkin park. i've been listening to them since they came out a looong time ago. i sadly don't have their early demo albums but my friend got them and so we share listening hehe i got to go to their concert last year too.

Which one? The meteora tour? I went to that one as well in Detroit oh my..it was awesome

They ain't too bad. I like some of their songs but not really into their type of music.

I used to be a fan of them, back when it was just Hybrid Theory. Meteora was kind of.. gay, it was alright though i guess.

For anything, i think that LP is going to be a phad now.

I loved them back in 2000 when their first CD came out (not counting Hybrid Theory EP) but I dunno they just got way to popular. I still like them but just not as much.

They're not really "rock" but they are a great band nonetheless.

I used to be obsessed with Linkin Park.. hence my Xanga username.
I still love them, but I've moved on a bit.
They're great.. I have all of their CDs, and it's fun to listen to them from time to time. Chester's still hot and blah, blah, blah.
But that Linkin Park / Jay-Z shit really pissed me off. -_-

An opinion must be supported by your ideas. What you said was a statement that I disagreed with. You cant call someone "one of the greatest rock bands" and then not give any support for why you think that.

i used to like them a lot. but then they started getting played all the time on the radio and stuff. they're alright, they're just overplayed.

actually, people started hearing them when they came out with the song numb.... and mtv started OVERplaying them

mtv always played them, since they had their first album, just not this much

and now, that they colaboed with jay-z, more fans were brought in from jay-z
