Any of you guys tried Trillian? It's for those of you who have like three different IM programs cuz you are super social . It combines MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and AIM into a program with none of those ads and uses around 5-20 megs of RAM, the amount AIM uses alone. It might take a while to adapt but I suggest give it a try.

trillian crapped out on me. I was not satisfied. =P I just go for AIMutation now. ezer. Altho it doesn't support the 4 together.

i personaly dislike trillian, i had it for a while and it pissed me off...

i hated it since last year.

bah, I used Trillian a while ago for 5 minutes, and realized that it can't do anything very well. Then I discovered gaim. Better than Trillian, but I like keeping mIRC and AIM seperate anyway.

Trillian has a few compatibilty issues with AIM's Client. & that can get frustrating. Its a very differnt feel from AIM's client as well.

If you're on OS X, the best third party client is Adium X.

I like Trillian because it looks nice. It took me a while to get used to. I hate how on basic, you can't see the profiles properly and you don't see the links, though.

There is an add-on you can download to see profiles properly....

The profile issue was one, but there seems to be an add on to fix it so thats spiffy.
The other dealt with people having issues using direct connect. I don't know if thats still an issue as I've not used Trillian in quite some time.

Oyy. Where? Gahh. I had Trillian for awhile. What pissed me off most was how I couldn't get my default font for the away messages. Then there was the fact that you can't get all the IMs to go to ONE FRICKIN' WINDOW unless you do it manually. That is irksome. GAIM at least did that. There were other things.. but I can't remember.

Last time I used Trillian, profiles came in as plaintext (no formatting). Is that still the case?

I installed Trillian on my old Windows 98. If I was on Trillian and opened Firefox afterwards, it would screw everything up. I don't really know how to describe it....it wouldn't freeze it, but the window would trail when I moved it, and it would mess up the screen.

I know Pro has it for sure. James (dangjer) said that there is a plug-in for basic. Meh.
