Have you guys realized that most people are at the extremes in what they like in music?

If someone likes punk or rock or rap or hip-hop, then they don't even want to hear the other types of music. Maybe its just me but I was wondering.

I'm open minded to all music. I even listen to music in other languages even if I don't understand it. I do realize some people only stick to one genre.. it's there choice

Techno is good.. Opera.. Rap.. SOME Pop.. Country.. Rock... all that other good shizz. Can't say you don't like a specific kind. There's too many songs you haven't heard.

and.. My Chemical Romance. I dont like listening to R&B and Rap. but I think Eminem is hot.. I like listening to his rap music ONLY.

im a fan of underground hip hop but im trying to expand my tastes to include some rock... and i love rnb lol

i don't know, i like all kind of music. Some are ok, and some are just bleh.

yeah there are some people who are very strict about what they like in music, as for me i like a lot. i'm open-minded about it too.

i'm open minded...I love classical, rock, hip-pop, rap, kpop, etc...


for instance. I can play the bass guitar and the piano.

I like listening to any kind of music, I'm not like those people that listen to this genre, and this genre only.

i don't like rap with a passion. Just becuz i like melody and rhythm then the beats and lyrics.

i think i'm open to all types of music. u should see my itunes, its got everything from death metal to britney. but i like metal... and dnt like pop... or rap... but i'm open to anything... ack, i dnt think i'm makin a lot of sense

I'm really open to all kinds of music... I try listening to foreign languages even though I don't really understand what the lyrics are about.

The only thing that I don't like is that those songs in foreign languages try to add a few lines of English that don't make any sense at all.

maybe its just me but i think i have a strange taste in music.

rock is my favorite type of music. i love it the most but i SOMETIMES listen to rap/hiphop/rnb. but it only depends if theyre really good. like eminem's song like toy soldiers. its awesome.

i also listen to instrumental classics sometimes...like emotional violin stuff. hahaha.

THEN I LUV HILARY DUFF!!!! my friends think im weird for loving punk rock metal and also liking hilary at the same time. to prove that i really like her. i bought a ticket to her concert and i went alone.

Yah, they go to the extremes...like, even to the extreme of all extreme, LABELING THEMSELVES. Oh dear cow, EG Person 1 listens to "punk" rock and labels themself as a "punk." Or Person 1 listens to "goth" rock and labels themself as "goth." Oh, this corrupted world.

I dunno, I used to only listen to 80s punk and crud, but my friend introduced me to jpop and kpop [which I even understand cause I'm Korean] haha. Right now I'm listening to 80s metal, 80s punk, "emo pop", and k/jpop. So yeah.

It's stupid. People should be open minded.

but there are some songs that i like that arent rock, (such as drop it like its hot, lose my breath...) i'm open to other kinds of music, but its just the matter if i like it or not.

Well for me, I prefer more hip hop type of music but I won't mind listening to other genres but I won't go out and listen to the rest of the album

I listen to everything. Rock, Rap, R&B, Jazz, Country, Classical [Instrumental], K-pop, J-pop/rock, music by some Fench artist like Vanessa Paradis, I jsut love MUSIC. None of this "Oh I like rock better than rap, rap sucks!" or "Rock people are so stupid, rap is so much better!" I hate that. If you even have the nerve to say you love music, you should love all the perespectives of music.
