okay well..im gonna try to explain this the best i can..
i heard from a friend that they are doing something to CD`s where you cant copy them anymore. Like if your friend buys a CD you want and you just burn it from his CD or whatever. Do you guys know if thats true or not?? Just wondering..

haha yeah..thats why ((from what i heard)) they are deciding to do that..is because everyone is just copying everyone else`s cds so the artists and record companies dont get any profits..
but yeah..i dont really have to worry about it either because i buy all my cd`s..i was just wondering tho

That is such BS. I cannot believe that but I know eventually they will probably to that to all CD's & DVD's. How sad. But I download off the internet anyways. The Last CD I bought was In Love and Death by the USED. I refuse to buy CD's anymore...waste!

cant be true.. cause then what would be the point of cd burners?
if it is true, then alot of companies will go out of business cause alot of people buy burners just to copy cd's.

hmmm...I don't think it's true

Dec 15 2004, 02:20 AM
this sucks... we need to start a national movement or something...
if you can't copy a CD because of thier copy protection, let a hacker break the code and then give free copies to everyone.
the record companies trying to boost sales by using expensive copy protection would soon learn!

Dec 22 2004, 03:03 PM
yeah they have made cds like that cuz my 1st stepdad had some cds with the thing on it
i think its more expensive though so some companies would rather just stick a warning label on the case than actually do something about it
oh yeah about the eminem cd i have that and i've burned it for people before so yeah.

Dec 22 2004, 03:45 PM
Well with the prices of original cds that's not cool. Besides you know on most cds only a few songs are good. That's why If possible that's why I burn my own cds. A few tracks here and few from a friend, some more from others.. yeah. Oh well.
comeupon
Dec 22 2004, 03:54 PM
Its actually very easy to get around that, all you need is a LAME MP3 Encoder, so when you import the cd onto your computer it becomes mp3 format. Then you can burn it no problem.
