Reminds me of what they do in Japan.

As I read in an anime book, Japanese parents would unexpectedly go to the girl's room (the girl cant say no, she has to let them in), and if they find a red spot of blood on the girls underwear, they celebrate b/c the girl has her first period. They would all eat red beans and red rice (basically, anything red).

My mom's proud of me when I go to the fridge to feed myself. She thinks I'm anorexic or something. Oh and they're usually proud of my grades or if I win an essay contest or if I do well in debate.

my mom was just happy i got my period because it meant she didnt have to take me to the doctor but she did proceed to tell my entire extended faimly...

My mum is proud each time I get an award or recognition for something. I think she was uber proud at the 5th grade graduating ceremony. I got 'Math Whiz'. I don't know how that happened; I suck at math.

my mom gets so proud when im involved in activities. i remember a story i wrote got featured in the newspaper and my mom picked up like 20 copies of it and kept stacks of them at home..it was too much.
