I never have time to straighten my mid-back, thick, Shirly Temple curly hair. Anyone know anyways to speed up the straightening process?

I'm quite frazzled... and so is my hair!

I'm in t3h same boat as yah. sad.gif

I heard the straight perms are the way to go, but they're pretty expensive. :\

My friend used one like that, but she still had to straighten her hair so it was extrememely straight!

my mommy has that.
i hate it.
it's all up in yer face.
i dont.
i got straight hair.
perfectly shiny, slick hair.
btw, what does slick mean.
happy.gif it sounds cool.
WickedDreamer
Slick... it's like very soft and shiny and no split ends...

thanks.
the dictionary explained it weirdly.

That's my hair then.
curly hair really is all poofy and looks funny. *giggles*
WickedDreamer
Well, my hair's not poofy. The weight of it just weighs it down so only half of it is curly and the rest of it is straight...

u can pay about $300 for those really good japaneese perms... they last a long time and dont damage ur hair
lilJdawg
go to a salon & get your hair straightened.
Ange1onCloud9
Japanese hair straightening, but there was a topic about it, and ppl were talking about the risks involved. Maybe you should learn to love your hair, not hate it.
WickedDreamer
Well, I do love my hair. It's just a pain to take care of! And when it get's foggy (I live three minutes away from the beach, so it's like fog centrle here) it goes 'poof!' It's just easier to manage when it's straight! _unsure.gif

PS. I don't have 300 dollars to spare, I have to save up for People to People Student Ambassador's program. I'm hopefully going to France, Italy and Spain this summer!

Well, I don't mind my thick hair, I love my thick hair, I hate the fact that it takes two hours to straighten it. Besides, I couldn't get my hair straightened everytime I take a shower. I'm not Paris Hilton. I don't have that kind of money!

Thanks for the luck! biggrin.gif
caity_bug2005

straight perm does not jsut stay in for one week. i got one and it stayed in for like 2 years... it`s like a perm, a perm doesn`t just stay in for a week. it`s PERManent so it stays in longer...

If u have about $200 u can go get it done at a salon.. it'll last up to 6 months / 1 year.

Or u can get this TrueCeramicPro. I got one and it works. It's not too expensive.. u can try it out for 30 days.
