We don't need to wear IDs in my school... but we have to bring them with us within the school campus.

i go to the smallest private school in orange county. how fun is that. 300 students. too poor to even have lockers, let alone IDs.

I don't quite grasp the concept at our school.
They give us ID's [mainly for lunch & the library]
They used to check them everymorning. I guess that got old? They don't check ever, they've even give out pin numbers for lunch [so you don't need your ID] so the only time you need it is for the library.
kind of pointless if you ask me.

haha id! never in belgium,if it ever happens,students will protest,in my school once they said we were gonna start wearing uniforms,it was april fool's day,half of the school bought it,but i didnt buy it and a lot of students were screaming at the principal that they were gonna change school and it was REALLY ugly and the principal told us that it was just a joke,but wow,the students trashed the toilets and all,so i dont think wearing an id is a good idea!

we dont hav to wear IDs at school, but we're req. to hav them to be able to access special stuff. we cant get lib books or attend ANY event w/o them so we hav to HAVE THEM even tho we dont have to WEAR em. but i put "yes" anyways..

yeah. we're required. policy is "no id, no entry". you can't enter school without your id. it sucks. but they say it's for security or whatever.

At my school (Australia, NSW), we have ID photo cards for doing several things (show and give to librarian to keep for us to go on internet, borrow books, checking our attendance/subjects online)

And for the eldest grade students(yr 12), we have a swipe on electronic system for attendance, in the morning I just swipe on with my Id card and just go to class!

No need for the traditional roll call of sittin in a class room and waiting for the teacher to call our names for the next 10 minutes! YES!

the school says we do and they're right..if you don't have it, then you get detention for one hour and they charge you for a temp ID. But I rarely ever wear mines unless its like club day. it's in florida.

No, I don't have to wear IDs at my school. It's just required that we have them on us at all times, but I don't think that's strictly enforced.

What the heck? I've never heard of anyone having to do that before. I think I'd go insane if I had to wear one. My school hasnt given out new student ID's in almost 3 years.

my school only uses id's for borrowing books/resources from the library and logging onto a computer.

We have them, but they're merely for show, really. We don't use them for anything.

I have a school I.D and I just keep it in my wallet. I would forget if I constantly had to wear it.

I don't have to wear my ID (I'm in college, though). In high school, I wasn't required to, either.

However, right now, as a first year at the college I'm at, I'd be utterly screwed if I didn't have my ID on hand at all times since I need it to get into my building, to get into the dining commons, to ride the bus, etc.

We get issued ID's, and we supposedly have to have them on us at all times... But we only really need them for the library or paying for tickets and such.

as for metal detectors... impact schools have them... not sure about everyone else

We havee them but we don't have to WEAR them. That would suck. It's just for getting readmits and into school events..

They'd tell us to wear em at the beginning of the school year..NOW who cares? only when we have to go in to school and out.

Nope I live in 254 area in TX... It doesn't matter what state you are in. It just depends on your ISD school rules.
