I read in a newspaper that there's not going to be a fourteenth book.

i dont realy know much of those series. i thought there were only 3 series of books..yeah i must be newb. i want to watch the movie though. jim carrey is my favorite

There are only 13 books because it is known as an "unlucky" number. I think it's pretty spiffy. But there are only 11 books out right now, with "The Grim Grotto" being the latest one. Sorry to break it to ya.

LOL, it's not, it's totally different. The book's actually very good, because it's not only for children to read. It's full of dark, dry, wit that only older people understand...it's awesome. =) You should read it.

there isnt?! aww man... but see the 13th one didnt seem so appealing to me..as the other books did.. i mean i read those in like a month.. all 10 then i read the other 2 as they came out. and the movie, this girl that i know was supposed to get that part.. but instead that ugly person got it..

i just started reading them on monday and I"m already on the 4th one ^-^ they're really good tho. Nothing compared to Harry Potter though =/ someone told me that theyre better so thats really why i started reading them

I don't think length would matter.. The Harry Potter books just kept getting longer and longer, and if you followed up on that, you'd realize that length wouldn't matter.

Anyway, I've read The Bad Beginning, the Wide Window (i believe that's what it's called), and the one where they were at the hospital.. I believe it was called "The Hostile Hospital" or something. I also read some of the school one. Anyway, the hostiile hospital was really good :] Just when I think good things would happen, the baudelaires end up with bad luck :[[[[
