I say I think part of it was true.. there's something in the beginning of the book that said it was kind of based on a true story.. but I wouldn't remember.. I read the book about 2 years ago.

every movie, no matter how you look at it, is loosely based on a true event.

I read the book, by nicholas sparks. It's fiction. So sadly it's not based on true events. But you should read the book neway because its really good

I saw the movie and it was SOOO good. Then later, I read the book and it was WONDERFUL. Then i saw the movie again and I was like, what? this isn't as good as the book, and they changed stuff. Like one of the most sweetest parts of the book isn't even in the movie! READ THE BOOK!!!!! I don't even like reading and i LOVED IT

i think i read the book first then i saw the movie. In the movie, when they did the play, Jamie was a singer but in the book she was some kind of angel... yea. they were both really good and sad.
