So I've been interested in this guy for quite some time now.. almost a year. I'm pretty sure he knows I like him.. cuz i've been trying to drop hints and stuff. But I've kind of given up since he's so shy!! He's really awesome to hang out with and we both have common interests and he makes me laugh (which is always a plus) but he's really freaking shy!! I can't tell at all if he's interested in me.. and I'm definitely one of those girls that need the guy to ask her out.. and not the girl to ask him out. All his friends tell me I have good chances or that he does like me, but no one really knows since the guy is so quiet about things like that. He's not necessarily shy .. just when its the subject on relationships. So how to I .. "break" this guy!? How do i know for sure if he likes me or not? Is there an easy way or do i have to just have to confront him about it (which i really really really really dont wanna do) So advice anyone??????

what you can do, is you said your friends right? well you need to make the first move. not necisarly ask him out, but standing around waiting for him isnt going to do anyhting. ask for his sn! and if you already have it, go for the phone number. you could invite him to goto the movies with a bunch of your friends [make sur emore guys come along too] yah i know its hard, but sitting aside waiting for him to get the nerves to call you may take way to long..

same thing happened to me, i fell for a shy guy, and it seriously took us 4 hours on the phone until he asked me out [shrug]

Well in dis shy situation the only thing I can really tell u is try to get one of his best friend to ask him, best friend tell each others everything cus me and mine does, even if he shy he would still say either idk or no, and which answer mean what u should noe.

Have a conversationg..
and ask if he likes you.
And keep bringing up the subject.
But if he keeps ignoring you, he probably doesn't.
But if he does, you should ask him out

well yeah im a shy guy so i guess i know wat u should do. wat my last g/f did was she wrote me a note that told me how she felt about me. yeah it made me less shy about asking her out. and well yeah the next day i did ask her out. so yeah just give him a note i guess.

i went out with a shy guy once. ugg i hated it. He never liked to kiss me or hug me or anything geez, it's soo annoying, so even if you do decide to go out with him, you'll be calling a lot of the shots, cuz if he's honestly that shy, then it'll take him a while to get used to doing bf gf stuff

he'll come around! Shy guys are the best boyfriends... especially if you like to take things slow. Me and my boyfriend are both shy, but we have been going out for a year and 4 months as of today, and we got over our shyness (at least around each other.) It took us a few weeks to hold hands and a couple of months to kiss.. but really... if you're patient, it's worth it.

In situations where you want a dude to ask you out, i always find it best to just tell the guy how i feel. I've never lost a friend from telling a guy i liked him and getting turned down.

Oy, I have the same exact problem and I had to get my friends to talk to him. That's like middle school way, but everytime I was near him, I would immediately blush...So yeah..couldn't exactly talk to him. -.-
