in some layouts, people's posts are in a box, or text area. and it just keeps runnig down and down. i have asked people ad they said just to put it as my back ground and set it as "repeat backgroud: vertical only." and it doesnt seem to work.. im a lil confused...lol

Yes, you are supposed to do what those people have already told you. But it probably did not come out as you wanted. To get your blog to stay in the box, you must use div. Go check out the div tutorials.
