QUOTE(xquizit @ Mar 8 2004, 10:49 AM)
I had been having sex since I was 16 and I've recently decided to become a born again virgin because the bible says that that is God's intention. Sex is God's gift and it is not meant to be used until you find that perfect partner and after you are married.

So I say, no, premarital sex is not ok. And I think two people can be even more intimate and more trusting of each other if they hold off on sex. Once sex comes into the picture, all these problems and trust issues start coming up... it's not worth it... plus it's probably a message from God that you're doing something wrong.

Makes me really think Raxanne..thnkx..

defenitly is up to you and not up to anyone else. you know what kind of person you are...

I'm not religious. My 2 cents there.

However, if u decide to have premarital sex (watever) its not like its gonna kill you, its not like ur penis or boobs are gonna fall off. If u love someone with all ur passion at that time and YOU feel comfortable, and willing to and BOTH agree, when u do have it, u'll be happy. Besides, I don't think there are many virgins that are 20 today. There are some out there, but non-V's out # them by ALOT.

My 2 cents again

Moo? Personally, I'm waiting until I get married. I have a friend that has had sex before and she was a nervous wreck she might be pregnant now. It comes with so many worries and problems if your young and not married, I'd rather wait and be ready to have children.

<<I don't believe you should go through a ceremony just to have sex. If you really truly honestly without-a-doubt know that you're gonna marry that person when you're "old enough" anyway... I believe any time can be the right time for the first... time. (I need a broader vocabulary )>>

Sorry this is so long!!! But I have something important to say...

I don't see marriage as just a ceremony...for me, it's taking a vow before God that my love, my life, my soul, all my decisions, my everything will be shared with this person until I die. Once a man and woman are bonded in marriage before God, they're united...it even says somewhere in the Bible that if one spouse is heaven-bound and one is not, the one who isn't may still go to heaven just b/c their souls are bonded...it's more than just a contract before the state.

I'm lucky enough to be with the person that I will someday marry. We've been together over two years now. biggrin.gif Right now, we're both too young to actually marry (I won't graduate till May) so we're waiting until we're older and at least started through college and financially stable and such. It gets very very hard sometimes to NOT have sex, especially when I know how much we love each other and that we plan on being together forever...very very very hard. wacko.gif We prayed about it when we first got together, before anything happened, (both being naturally extremely sexual people, tee hee...we knew it'd come up eventually), and decided it's alright for us to do other things, but we're saving sexual intercourse for marriage. Not just because we found that that's what God wants for us, but also because PREGNANCY. That would screw our plans up big time...

Of course there's birth control and condoms, but I love our unborn children. I don't want them to have to deal with young poor parents who can't afford to raise them and who are trying to get through college...I've seen too many friends stuck in that family situation and it sucks. So when it gets hard, I think about them...and even if there's only a less than one percent chance I'll be able to get pregnant with birth control, my children's lives aren't worth that risk, no matter how small. So that's why I'm waiting, and that's my motivation to wait...
sammehmyst
Na. Only thing you get out of premarital sex is unplanned pregnancy. ;)
AngelicEyz00
^and great orgasms... ;)
literemix24
To me..it depends on both of the people. If they want to, I don't see why not. Buh if they don't, its understandable. 'n I got tons of respect for people who don't

QUOTE(tkproduce @ Mar 8 2004, 12:00 PM)
but i hear stories where people have made promises not to have sex till they get married and then, after they got married and had sex once, one of them didn't like it (usually the woman) and never wanted to have sex again and so his/her partner's sex life was ruined for the rest of their lives (unless they got divorced or had affairs that is)
*

well probably because (im a virgin so i dont know) i hear that female's first time isn't the most pleasurable thing, because they're not used to it or something?
so all they gotta do is practice and get it right tongue.gif

and i also believe you shouldnt have sex until you're married. and im not religious at all.

but i believe when a child is born, it's like made from the love. and the action is having sex. yea k that sounded corny, hopefully you knew what i meant wink.gif

plus condoms + birth control pills are bad because they prevent from having a baby.... so yea...

haha and i want a big family when i grow up. 5 kids whistling.gif
Rachel
there is no right or wrong answer for this question. to me its more of a faith/belief based question. i don't think there is anything wrong with people having great sex before they get married, if you are completely ready and safe and are with a person who is right for you then its allright to have sex. Sex is not a horrible thing people, you cannot die by having sex before your married if you do it correctly (condoms, birth control ect. ect.). God will not come down and damn you to hell just because you were having sex. the end =)
you suck
I THINK that u should have sex when u love some1. thats it no rules.
runforfun529
Well I don't think its too bad if you love the person. Just having sex before 16 or 17 is stupid.
SandRAWRz
i am going to have sex during marriage...but ppl should have sex whenever they feel like it
perfectxflaw23
I voted maybe.
I'm not religious at all. All that affects my view on it is if you're in love or not.
Programmer
religons arn't perfect...and anyone that says otherwise.....just reflect on your religons history...to see what im talking about....but in the case of pre-marital sex....i don't need something telling me when when and when i can't have sex.... period.
Mistrunner
I think it's fine. If they love each other, why not?

There are facets to every relationship. Just because they are having sex doesn't mean they're doing something wrong, but just because they aren't doesn't mean they're doing something right, either.

And as a side note, some people act like sex is a bad thing. blink.gif Sex at the wrong time in a relationship can be, but sex itself is not.
heyyfrankie
i think that it is okay even though i am told that it is not right. i personally think that it is not right but if you love the person, than i am sure you can do it. i know for a fact that i will not be able to wait until i am married. ph34r.gif

woah!
i think premarital is ok becuase you can't control your love and desite but as long as you wear a condom (guy) and take care of the baby if one actually existed.
brand0n
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...i mean no
stephinika
i don't think its so wrong to be premarital but when its too young and not for the right reasons, then it can be wrong.
ItzOnlySydney
if your up to it. ur choice.

I won't know because i don't go to church. but i would save sex 'til marriage.

I think it's probably wrong, but I'd jump at an opportunity to have sex. What if I never got married?
me1issaaaa
I think sex is the most intimate, precious thing you can give to anyone. Your virginity is, really, the ONLY thing you have complete control over. It's the only thing you own. I'm not saying that you have to wait until your married, but I think you should save it for the right person, when you're completely ready to deal with all of the 'after' effects. Just make sure it's not something you'll regret later.
tinababy143
well i did have premarital sex, but now that i have, i wish i hadnt, and also, considering the fact that i have, i dont think..well..i dont think its right, but i dont think its wrong either..i think if the two people really thought about what they were about to do and they took in ALL the considerations and didnt think "it would never happen to me" and they used protection..it would be somewhat okay..hm..i guess i dont know how to explain myself too well..and this is contradicting itself, but

i dont think its right, but i dont think its wrong either

Awwww =] I completely agree with what you said.
sammi rules you
i know i'm probably not gonna wait till marriage, cause for me, i just think it's absurd to wait till i'm 30/late 20s/whenever i get married. i know i'm not gonna during high school; that's just my personal morals. but i don't put down those who do wait, i don't care. just wait till whenever you want.
Programmer
pffft whenever you feel your ready.....
tmauze
sex... wow. i'm a christian and have always regarded premarital sex as wrong and against the bible. but lately, although i don't think it is right, it's just sort of like what's the point in waiting? i can't die a virgin and i know i don't want to get married or have kids. and, i don't really regard sex as "making love." sure, it's intimate, but if i were to have sex, it'd be for the pleasure of it, not to express my love to someone else. but i also know that you shouldn't be really young when you lose your virginity because i've heard how much it can effect you.
swe3ttemptasian
Wrong wrong wrong
slipknot1098564
i'm not religious so i don't really care for that "sex after marriage" thing
alsex
im with the who cares crowd...
but i agree... sex will complicate things so its best to do it when you can be responsible for your actions
blowpops69
as long as you dont get pregant.

i want to try and save it for marriage though
gogopwrrnger
the answer for me is who cares? i mean, yeah, the world would probably be a bit less crowded, and a lot less concerned about aids if we all chose to wait till marriage. but then the divorce rate is above 50% and most divorcees get married again. so it really wouldnt matter.
Angel_Cece
Yes of course it is
bravodancer04
I think premarital sex is fine, but then again, I have no beliefs in anything, so thats just me..
zbrittanyz
If you think the person's right for you, go for it.
illuminessence
In my opinion, abstinence is the way to go, but that doesn't mean I think ppl who choose to engage in premarital sex are going to hell.
miss barnes
i'm for and against it. i think you should if you're truly in love with that person & know what could happen as a result of your actions. Not puppy love but, REAL LOVE. i think waiting as long as you can is the best. i wish i would have because i regret my first time...not my 2nd or 3rd though
KissMe2408
No it's not okay. I believe you should hold off the sex until you get married to the person you love. Of course tempation is always there, but it means alot more when you wait.
sunangel5685
personally, i dont believe in waiting until youre married to have sex. sex is something special that you should share with someone you love. (that was a lot of s words) but the first person you love, and want to share that with, isnt going to necessarily be the same person you marry down the road. as long as you are having safe sex and understand the responsibilities and consequences, i think its ok.
Dark Saga
mhm.. drugs are bad, mmkay?
imenlightened
personally, i dont care. i really dont have a stand on it. if u really feel like it, then go ahead! if not, well thats ur choice...
