oo i love old songs. my favorite all time is 'unchained melody' from the movie ghost. and then there's 'my way', maybe something by the beatles. there's this one song that sounds so good but i forgot the title. and if she's a fan of rock, there were tons of good rock bands in those days. try looking them up in classical rock.

OOH! :] You can just go through the Brat Pack movies. There should be a lot of songs in there. My favorite 80's song is "If You Leave" by OMD in Pretty in Pink. ;p

"Lovesong" by the Cure. At least I think that was late 80s. It might be early 90s...

"Metro" by Berlin

"I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls

I believe that "Like a Virgin," "Holiday," "Get In The Groove," and "Material Girl," by Madonna are all 80s too.

OHH!!! AND PRINCE!!! How could I forget about Prince! "When Doves Cry," "I Would Die 4 U," and "Let's Go Crazy" are all good ones.

And TangoMango, please don't double post. And EWF is mostly 70s.

Ahhh, the 70's. My favorite era of music. Here are some of my favorite 70s soul classics. You can't go wrong with these.

Anything by Al Green. For instance "Let's Stay Together".

"Don't Leave Me This Way" - Thelma Houston (**DISCO CLASSIC**)

"Come Go With Me" or "Turn Off The Lights" - Teddy Pendergrass

"You Make Me Feel Brand New" or "Break up to Make up" - Stylistics

"Reunited" - Peaches & Herb

"Jungle Boogie" - Kool & The Gang

"Love Train" - The O'Jays

"For The Love Of You" - The Isley Brothers

As for the 80s, go with anything by Prince or Michael Jackson!
