Nope, Laser and optical are different, Laser has 50x the tracking power of an optical mouse. I think optical mouses use leds and stuff, not sure though but they can be easily fooled by surfices that look the same.



Then the wireless mouse has a problem, what would make you assume that wireless mouses suck because the arrow "freezes." I have a microsoft wireless optical desktop, keyboard and mouse, and it works perfectly fine, the only problem is that the mouse uses up a lot of battery power since it's optical.

I'm not going to vote since I have way too many mice in my house, got 4 optical, one of which is wireless, got a trackball, got 3 with the ball undernieth and also have a laptop with touchpad and another laptop with the little eraser point.

i have an optical wireless. It works fine, I've never frozen up because of bad connection. The only horrible thing is that they require batteries...

Ehh I have a laptop but I cant stand the touchpads so I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook mouse. It works great, never had any problems with it, except sometimes I misplace the USB adapter. Have to change the batteries every 3 or 4 months.

i got a Logitech MX700, its a pimp mouse.

I have Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse Steel Blue. It works really good, It even looks good.

I have a logitech mx510, mx700 and a mx1000. Onyl laser mouse out is the mx1000. every other mouse uses optical LED's.

no...i use a optical mouse for my computer but for my parents computer [the one im using now] they have a wireless mouse and keyboard [cost like 100 bucks...geez X_X] and they NEVER freeze lol. so...maybe yours or whatever you used before that made you think this way about the "wireless ones" was a crappy brand lol or wasnt connected correctly.
