Why can't I look you in the eye?
What do I try to hide?

Too many questions for my mind to comprehend
never sleeping wanting questioning to end,
I stare in my mirror rimmed with gold,
searching for an answer on a face that looks so cold.

These feelings won't leave me be.
The lies keeping stirring leading back to me.
I'm trying but I still feel incomplete
Feel like I'm dieing and you refuse to hold me.

I'll tell you everything
I'll show you what I know
But it won't be enough.
Til it's over the answer is lost to you.
Til I find it there can be nothing left to prove
I won't hide, but it's what I want to do
I'll stick it out because I know I love you..

Getting There


Since the moment I ran away
I've looked back three times
But I didn't want to say
In a place where I never saw your face
I fell asleep on a park bench last night

Maybe I'm crazy
I don't know but maybe
I don't know where you are
But I'll find you even if I don't have a car.

First poem is pretty good...simple as well.
Second one, I liked the line
But the last lines are...'Eh'.

So I edited it.. Made it better. Or perhaps worse... Still it NEEDS Some work.

Getting There (Edited...Duh*)

Since the moment I ran away
I've looked back three times
But I didn't want to stay
In a place where I never saw your face
I fell asleep on a park bench last night
But I woke up in a field of daisies
(this bit was added on just now, don't know if I like it or not..eh)
I strayed away from my pillow of petals
I counted clouds and heard distant cellos
seventeen hours on my way
Maybe I'll never find you but that's okay
I'm in a paradise of glorious magic
Sitting in a river of unpredictable habits
Eating smores with dirt between my toes
If I never find you then that's the way it goes.

Waaaay better than the first.

Get a Memory

It's the things you never say
And it's the questions that you ask
But please don't tell me that I'm strange

I wanted a life, and this is my own

Why can't I remember the way I used to dream

I never sleep without the faces of the people I've seen.
I never dream without the hunger to be seen.
And every time I relax enough to see your love
I push it away, and I look away.
What if I could be content?

To the wishes of mothers
and expectations of the others.

There are few words to descrive just what I'm feeling inside.

I was there the whole time

Hot and sweating... Heavy breathing... Trying to get through the gates.
Only concerned for ourselves. God damn the bleeding to burn in hell.
No room for suffering innocents in this place where no one has a face.
Indecision on what to say to the people infront and on the way.
Tide cast me out to sea with all the rest.
We did our best. Time to go home.
It's not over till the fat lady sings. Oh wait that's me? So I guess it's over you see. Pick up the baggage that has washed ashore. Put together the pieces of the puzzle you've been waiting for, to solve.
