One of my teachers today presented an article that said over 40% of the people that do vote, vote based on TV soundbytes.

In my opinion, this nullifies the 40% of the popular vote, stressing the necessity for the Electoral College. So, the debatable question is:

Should campaigns in the future be deterred from advertising so heavily?

That statistic is not true, in 2004, less than 10% of voters are undecided by the time the real media blitz starts.

Most voters make up their minds before campaign even starts.
