Anyone here ever read a book called "the cay?" the book is so fun and sad..well its about a young 12-year old named phillip and he goes to visit somewhere with his mother..but they get torpedoed in the ship by the germans..during war..and phillip is lost..he suddenly finds himself in a quiet, strange island..he finds a huge black man next to him named timothy..phillip is alone with timothy..he needs to survive..timothy helps phillip on his way through survival..he's been on the island for 5 months..later timothy dies through a hurricane and phillip is shocked..then he gets rescued by a man and safley returns home.

Oh yeah! I read that in grade 5 and 6. A good novel

And I also watched the movie too at shool

Oh yah I read it...I kinda forgot what it was about though, just the general plotline. I read in in fifth grade. I think that I thought it was boring.

woahhhh i read that book in like 2nd or 3rd grade..so for me that would beennnnnnnnn..14 years ago
