Hey! I need help with something with adobe photoshop 7.0.

Let's Say I have a pic with a black background but the banner i am making is white so how am I supposed to erase the black part of the pic w/o ruining the pic? Because alotta ppl do this w/o ruining the pic so please someone help me! Thanks biggrin.gif

You probably have to use the pen tool to outline the picture. If you're a beginner, you should become familiar with photoshop and the pen tool before trying.

Use the wand tool and click on the space you want to delete and press backspace or delete.

you can try using the lasso tool and tracing around the part of the picture you want, then copying and pasting it somewhere.

Well, if you're going to use the lasso tool, you might as well use the magnetic tool...it like "sticks" to the area and lasso takes too long...And if you mess up there's no going back.
