okay i found this recipe with my mom the other day and i haven't tried it yet but it looks/seems soo yummy after i read it and looked at the picture. so i'd like to share this beauty. hehe biggrin.gif

makes 12-16 servings
prep time: 35 min
bake time: cake 40 min
chilling time: 4-8 hours
freezing: not recommended

ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour (250 mL)
1 cup granulated sugar (250 mL)
1/3 cup cocoa (75 mL)
3/4 tsp baking powder (3 mL)
3/4 tsp baking soda (3 mL)
1/4 tsp slt (1 mL)
1 egg
1/2 cup milk (125 mL)
1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil (50 mL)
1/2 cup boiling water (125 mL)
1 pkg milk chocolate mousse (ex. Dr. Oetker)
2 cups whipping (35%) cream (500 mL)
2 envelopes of Dr. Oetker "Whip It"
1 envelope Dr. Oetker vanilla sugar
4 crisp chocolate toffee bars (ex. SKOR)
*optional: 1/4 liqueur (ex. amaretto, kahlua)

instructions:
1. preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). grease and flour one 8" or 9" round cake pan.
2. sift first 6 dry ingredients into large bowl. add egg, milk, and oil and then beat for 2 minutes on medium speed with an electric mixer. stir in boiling water until smooth and pour into prepared pan.
3. bake in centre of preheated oven for 35-40 min. cool 10 min. in pan then remove and cool completely. cut into bite-sized pieces and set aside. prepare mousse according to package directions. beat cream, "Whip It", and vanilla sugar to stiff peaks.
4. assembly:
put half of cake cubes in trifle bowl or large glass serving bowl. drizzle half the liqueur on top. spread half the mousse on top, then half the cream on top, and then sprinkle half of the broken up chocolate bars on top. repeat the same 4 layers. cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill 4 hours or overnight.

hmm i guess the sound of the recipe is ok... but then i dont reallie like chocolate, i prefer strawberry hehe but it's sounds delicious in some way =]
