i know a lot of you use photoshop. and i use fireworks mainly cause i havent been able to afford photoshop yet.

but does anyone know the difference between the two? which one is better?

im trying to figure this out before i spend all my money on photoshop...

ive messed with fireworks a bit, don't know much about it. but for personal preference, Photoshop, because (atleast to me), its more prone to be learned easier.

Photoshop is more graphic intense...you can do alot more with pics

Fireworks is best for extras...such as pop-up menus, swapping image rollovers, and image slicing.

They are both excellent programs and if you can afford and know how to use them both, it is extremely powerful!!

whats fireworks? i only use photoshop and imageredy... so i wouldnt noe what fireworks is.

i used to prefer fireworks to photoshop before, but no i dont have acess to it any more so i mainly use photshop..but its a trial version...and im hoping someone will give it to me

well i myself preffer 3d studio maxx, but you know thats just me! but anyways, photoshop to me is better because theres much better image editing options, plus you can do more to an image. and for slicing, i use notepad so i dont really use either for that.

Can you use photoshop with windows? Or is that just for a mac?

I've never tried fireworks...But I do use photo shop and psp.

I've never used photoshop but I want it though. I use Fireworks. It's pretty good if you know what you're doing. But I still wanna try Photoshop cause I know Photoshop can make better graphics.

the software works with both, but the graphic company i work for uses photoshop on macs...

i only use photoshop and i like photoshop.....

i think there are more photoshop tutorials out there
which makes it a lot easier to learn

other people have make some really cool stuff and tutorials will help you

I prefer PS7, because PS7 has more effects and brushes. Firework is for quick jobs. PS7 is for more graphic images.

I prefer Photoshop, its has more brushes and options. Fireworks I mainly use for imagemaps and simple things.
