Does anyone skateboard here?

Yup, yup. I've been skating off and on for about . . . wow almost 4 years.

ya. im trying to get into skating.. how did you guys learn? by yoursleves? or did friends teach you?

I have been skating for about 6 months..My friend Brennen taught me how.

I used to skate alot but now i usually dont... The risk of injury is jsut to high and i need to be healthy for other sports... I still am very interested in it though

when i was in 7th grade i bought me a moongoose board... the one from TOYS R US.... i tried skateboarding in it and i fell.. and i think i felt funny coz my back was aching. then i stopped being a punk it was hard being a jackass! hahah jkjkjk

Why? Cause it was the hugest trend for a while...It eventually died down over here though.

Would you count the crap they do on CKY, Viva-la-BaM, or Jackass skateboarding? ex. waggon surffing off a half pipe, car surffing n' jumping off it...

its blading for me but most of all my friends board..

i skate. i cant do very many tricks cuz sum dumb shiit ran over my board and i havent praticed in a while.

i can skateboard.. skated for3 years.. but i stopped for a while.

ollie : back foot and tail front foot in middle.. pop down on the tail as hard as possible and slide your front foot up so its like at the nose of board.

kickflip: almost same as ollie.. except your front foot's heel should hang out.. then do a ollie, but theninstead of sliding upon heelside.. go up on toe and then bring it out until it hangs over the board.. and flick out so the board spins.. it took me a while to get it. you want to hover over the board even if the board doesnt flip all the way. you want to learn and catch it.once you see the grip tape you want to have you back foot on as quick was possible then your front foot follows..

popshove its: a feww people have different ways.. but my way is ollieing.. and then you want to kick you back foot bakward so your like making the board do a 180 .. oryou can do it with uyour front foot. then you hover above the board and you try and land it.

tricks take time to learn. it took a year to get an ollie right. just keep practicing and you should get it. good luck bro

^^ It took me almost 6 months to learn how to ollie well and another couple of months to kickflip. So you're obviously lying or skilled. I'm thinking you're lying.

I skate... someone stole my board and I got it back and I havent skated in a year and I cant ollie anymore so i need to re-learn haha. But look at the name I hope I skate.

i just got into skating...ive been practicing for a few days, and i havent fallen off yet, but I'm probably going to fall soon. My skateboard is a really cheap one but my mum says that once i get my riding right, she'll get a new Element board for me I just got started, but I'm already LOVING skating!!! its taking over me! i hope you all other skaters are as motivated by skating!

nope. i tried once and i fell on my ass.

i really got into skating when i was about 11 or 12. i stopped for a while...then started again the summer i was 14. i'm probably going to start up again this summer. it's funny because when people ask low long i've had my skateboards, they assume that i'm really good because i've owned them for about 5 years, when in reality i skate for a while and quit for a while, so i suck.

I wish I could! I've had a horrible experience with it though when I was younger. My brother decided to skateboard while carrying me (I was an infant at the time). A dog started to chase him, and in his hurry to get away, he fell, along with me. I hurt my nose =(

i've been skating on and off for around 3 years now. not too good cause like i said, on and off, not really practicing, just doing it to get around. started around a month ago really getting into it, trying tricks and all.

heh, i said i was into skating earlier in this thread, but now, i can't really say thats true now. i quit skating last month. i kept falling on my butt, and i was getting tired of it.

^Skateboarding is more punk rockish/ rocker. iono it can be preppy when valley-type people try and skateboard.

Yeah, but it's an on && off thing for me. My ex and his friends were skaters and I decided it'd be fun to board. So I bought myself an Element, did I mention I'm in love w/ it?! Except..I want a new deck && possible some new trucks, they're crap, honest, I loosened a bolt && lost it...Now, I don't skateboard, it's kinda lonely skating alone and trying to do tricks. I read a lot about it, but I'm a more visual and social person...I can't perform tricks too well when reading words.

Err, I can do an ollie && I could do a kickflip, but I'm sure I forgot that too.

Skateboarding is Skater, Punk/Rock.

I've been skateboarding since I was 8, but I stopped because my cousin took my deck and sold it, but I started again in 7th grade. Got into a big accident and was too scared to start again, but a year ago I started trying to ride again and now I can coast pretty well, I'm just starting to learn how to ollie and jump with the board, but it's reaallly hard. I had to stop for a month because I sprained my ankle

Why is this in Entertainment? lol, well i guess skateboarding could be entertaining.

I can't skateboard to save my life. I can go a few feet, and then I fall off.

I used to skate from 4th-6th grade, but stopped 'cause my deck got all messed up.
I just started skating again earlier this year and I suck now.

I should have just bought a new one in 6th grade..

i got abck from skating about an hour ago. i'm not THAT good but i like doing/learning tricks.... simple ones

I've been skating for about a year and a half now. 4 hours a day at the legendary spots: Petit Park, Sav Ons Gap

A lot of people here at my school have picked up it as a trend though...makes me feel like I'm one of them sometimes =/

my friend has a longboard which i ride alot, and i loveeee it. and i can ollie on a regular board, but that's about it.

i'll stick to BMX...

Im a skater boy. Love goin to skate parks and stuff. its a fun thing to do just to hangout and stuff. =P

i remember when i tried to skate board, i fell of the board in like 1 sec. ROFL!

but it was pretty fun :]

I don't like it when guys say 'OMG I SK8 EVERIDAY!' Then they can't skate for their life. I can skate pretty well. But I can't do any fancy tricks.
