YES! How to Kill a Mocking Bird is so good. It's not even aobut killing mockingbirds!
Anywho, if you're into rehab-suicidal sotries, try Cut By Patrica McCormick. Awesome book. It's about a girl who cut herself.
If you're mature enough, read Tithe By Holly Black. Great book if you're into faeries and Asians with Natural Blonde hair. Lol. Lots of cussing ( they say f*** in almsot every page) and two rape scenes./ Grwat plot, great story.

Flowers for Algernon was a pretty good book.
I also recommend the Chronicles of Narnia series ( the whole seven; not just The Lion, The Witch, And the Wardrobe. ), they've gathered me some lot of AR points, and kept me busy for a while. :]
As well as Harry potter of course, they drag in many points as well.
Good luck on your AR. :]

Ohhhhhhhhh whaaaat. I'm gonna see that mos def.
Chuck Palahniuk books are freakin crazy. Invisible Monsters was good and interesting, but it drove me nuts how it's like a collage of events. It doesn't tell the story in chronological order. It starts off like a Tarantino film. Pretty much the whole thing is about a hot model like chick who gets shot and is horribly disfigured and she's on a road trip with a transexual and an ex boyfriend and they tour houses that are for sale and steal any prescription drugs they find and stuff. It's weird, but there's more to it. Choke is crazy too but I'm too lazy to describe it now lol. They both involve sex and stuff too for all those erotic people out there. Oh yeah and I almost forgot, I heard they're adapting Invisible Monsters into a movie also, and possibly Choke

It's a trip. But it's like most of his books, I suppose (the whole collage-of-events thing). Of course that's what makes it so great.
I have a copy... so if you ever can't track it down... you know my username
Ok, I'll leave you alone now.
