do you want privacy or do you not want privacy?
for people on the debate team and stuff.. what would your value and criterion be for the affirmative [positive] ? what would your vaule and criterion be for the negative side?

This topic sucks ...
ANyways, on aff you can do one of two things:
Go morality -- say that it is immoral to violate people's privacy, regardless of gain. In which case you'd have soemthing like:
VP: Morality, VC: Protection of Individual Liberty or something.
Or you can argue from a practical side, that violating privacy leads to slipper slope which causes individuals to become functionally disabled, in which case you'd have something like:
VP: Individual Welfare, VC: Security or Freedom From Fear (After all, you can't really feel secure if you know that other people are spying on you, can you? It's human nature).
On Neg, basically run your standard Utility case.
