rasterized the text layer, use the rectangle marquee, choose what you want to fade, and feather to 40px, and press delete.

That will most likely work with PSP 8 as well. Try it.

what don't you get?
you can rasterize layers in psp right? and you can usually do about the same things. so just try it..can't hurt.

Take the vector layer and make it a raster layer..... (Or whatever kind of layer it is.....) o.O

ive been using photoshop for a long time and i still have no clue what rasterize means. so don't feel bad. hahah all i know is that you need it to use a brush or whatever else after you've used text (well at least in my experience)

Grr I still don't get it, SORRY GUYS! by the way.. I just barely got psp 8 like.. 2 or 3 weeks ago.. and i really dont use it that much.. unless i'm majorly bored.. soo.. i don't even know what a raster layer is..
