yeah.. you need a lot of stuff.. you and your parents need to have a pin number.. that takes 3 days itself.. and plus they ask too many questions for first timers.. by the way.. where do you live?? if you live in cali.. do you know what gpa qualifies for cal grant A and cal grant B??

I suggest you do it right away, even if it is done June 30th, because this is college tuition you're talking about. Filling it out on time may save you thousands of dollars.

Definitely get it in soon, the sooner the better, becuase when you talk to the college admissions people, they can help you out with grants and scholarships and stuff. The FAFSA gives them a better idea of what's going on.

yeah i forgot all about it too...i just got reminded yesterday...but! i will do it as soon as i'm done studying for my tests tomorrow...*sighs* damnit...i'm soooo stressed out :( *shruggs*

FAFSA is due MARCH 2nd so i have to start on mine and finish by 12 or 9...if you don't have your pin number and your parents pin number you are screwed cause its too late to do online(pin number takes 3 days to get)...if you doing paper its past the time the post office will be closed in most cities, LAX has one till 11:00 PM but thats if you wanna drive and are done with your app and live around the area
OR
you can just turn it in by JUNE 30th BUT.... you lose a lot of your benefits so if you really needed the money you shouldn't have waited so long

ok, here's the story. the FEDERAL deadline is June 30th. But some states (like California) have earlier deadlines for STATE grants--whis was yesterday. but they are two different things entirely. just because you fill out the state stuff doesn't mean you don't have to fill out the federal stuff.

To find out the due date, I suggest you go to your school administrator because I wasn't sure about the due date also. In some states the due date is earlier than June 30th.. I talked to my administrator and she told me that it's better to turn it in way before June 30th because it's a first hand first serve type of thing.

it depends on when your quarter starts...

Mine for instance, is due before April 5th (the 5th being my start date for the next quarter). Check with your schools financial aid dept.

CAL grant is pretty much a scholarship that gives you free money for college just signing up for it but you have to be a cali resident to sign up for CAL grant...
