i saw the ring three weeks ago lol n it was the first scary ive seen in a loooong time... do u guys dink it was scary?? the girl comming out of the tv was freaky and dat first girl dat died [her face after she died] scared me lolz

Yeah, The Ring is an awesome movie.
One of my favorite jap horror films (Well, That one is the american remake).
The closet scene made me jump and scream, And the last scene with Sadako...Err Samara I mean, coming out of the TV was what sent shivers down my spine.

The remake in my opinion was better (Despite what most people say). The only thing about the japanese version was it revealed more storyline behind the girl(Sadako/Samara).

You should check out Ringu and the rest of the Ring movies. That's right, There're prequels, sequels, Etc.

Another jap horror series that I've taken a big liking to is the Ju-On series. The third installment (Ju-On:The Grudge) is due for a remake this October, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. I just saw the sequel (Ju-On:The Grudge 2) and I have to say, It's VERY impressive. Best japanese horror film I've seen so far.

It didnt scare me once, it was so damn predictable.

And by the way, try to spell your words right.

I saw Ringu and, to be honest, I thought it was kinda creepy.
Not at all scary... Just disturbing.
But yeah, my cousin is forcing me to play Samara in his rendition of 'The Ring'....
All because of my hair. -.-u

I've seen The Ring American remake and Ringu. Ringu didn't scare me at all, me and my friend were cracking up at the scene when the guy is about to get killed at the end, and he's screaming "I GET IT!! I GET IT NOW!! I KNOW WHY I'M ABOUT TO GET KILLED AND SHE DIDN'T GET KILLED!!" We just found it hilarious

Can't wait to watch The Grudge. Even Sarah said she had a hard time watching it and she was in it!
I also heard a remake of The Ring 2 will be coming out soon.


And to think the director of The Ring was Gore Verbinski, who was the director for Pirates of the Caribbean, heh.

If Sarah says she had a hard time watching Ju-On:The Grudge, She wouldn't be able to make it through watching Ju-On:The Grudge 2. So I'm guessing no sequel remake with her, LoL.

If you think that's too much to stomach, You should get a load of the movie 'Ichi the killer', Another jap horror film.
It's pretty popular, I guess...The Blockbusters near me carry it.

that movie is a horrible horror movie...wasnt scary... only part i "jumped" was when she was looking at the files and it switched the the train scene with the horn blowing...and its not ment to be scary lol....

There was so much hype about it with my friends and all. They told me it was the scariest and creepiest movies ever, so I was vastly disappointed when I saw it. I thought it was an alright movie, not scary at all. I thought it was more of a suspense film than anything.

Yeah, It's done by the same director as the original japanese version. Hell, the whole cast is practically japanese (Save a few), and it's set in Tokyo again.
