At The Quiet Contemplation

as I sit in quiet contemplation
my thoughts centered, clear and true
my heart is filled to overflowing
with loving thoughts of you.

you make my life so beautiful
all my labors seem worthwhile,
for no matter how tough things get
just the thought of you makes me smile.

you fill me up when i am empty,
like no one else has done;
pour warmth into my spirit,
like rays from summer sun

like rain upon the desert,
on a dry and barren land;

with touch from gentle hands

igniting there a flame of fire
