I was wondering if Photoshop is the same as PAint shop pro and such?

not really... it's two different programs.. and they both have different options and features.. but in a way, it's kind of similiar. photoshop is by adobe.com and paintshop pro is by jasc.com

but you can still do layout and those things like paint shop pro??

yeah.. they're both used to make layouts.. graphics.. etc
