Star Trek was more thought out and captivating. The weapons in the Star Trek Universe are even cooler. The concepts presented on the show and in the movies make the technological advancements of Star Wars look like as if nothing happened between the seventies and the time of Darth Vader.

Star Wars has a much larger universe, with stories coming from every corner.

Star wars has much cooler weapons, including the Lightsabre, the Gaderffi Stick, and, lets face it folks, the Death Star rocks your socks off, as well as Alderaan's.

Star Wars adapts to the conditions of the story. Meaning, in Ep 4-6 they were in a time or war, and the rebel forces were minimal at best, they had pretty dungty looking ships, with no style or class. Meanwhile in ep 1, we are on Naboo, where the people are peaceful, and have gone years without war, allowing their star fighters to be sleeker, more powerful, and better put together.

You could choose any random extra in a Star Wars movie and he would have an incredible story.

And there is nothing like watching the history of star wars through the newest movies. I CANT WAIT for Ep 3.

Not to mention that the Jedi is pretty much the essence of good and justice throughout the universe. Jedi's with steadfast minds, calm auras, and quick triggerfingers, they are the cowboys of the future, sans the attitude.

Star Wars is what all other science fiction movies aspire to be. Its the greatest movie saga of all time, and it has spawned dozens upon dozens of books and stories.

On Star Trek Voyager, it took Captain Janeway the whole series to get back to the Alpha quadrant. A whole series. If they didn't find a short cut they would have been travelling even longer.

Much cooler weapons? I dont think so, Disrupters, Phasers, and Photon Torpedoes as compared to your laser thingies.

The funding of the star wars sci-fi movies is what all the others want. No self-respecting career Sci-Fi movie maker would want that kind of gay credits with die hard Sci-Fi fans.

The Sun Crusher is about the size of a space fighter with a torpedo that can collapse a star. The Borg would be destroyed within 3 minutes.I dont see how the Jedi/Vulcan comparison works...but ok...

James Kirk pales in comparison to Capt. Jean Luke Picard. And either way, Star Wars takes place in the past.THe funding for the originals wasnt exactly astronomical. And any Science Fiction movie that doesnt want to aspire to have the success, the modification abilities, and the wide fan base of Star Wars is insane.I wouldnt need to hit you with it. Thats a good question.. Can the Borg's shields adapt to a super nova? I suppose it would take at least one to adapt to right? Jean luke picard more entertaining??? Kirk not only out smarted, beat up, and humiliated the enemy. He also slept with every moon princess and green woman on the show. William Shatner is a much better actor than patrick stewart.

I like star trek more. Im a "trekky" in a way. Star wars not bad but I don't like the "Luke Im Your Father" thing. Star trek technology is cool and their so many different series of startrek.

i'm not into these kinda sci-fi things.... but i do like star wars.... but not much.... at least not THAT much.

First off, no, Patrick Stewart is an amazing actor, and to say William Shatner is better at anything other than speaking sporatically is a lie.

Secondly, TNG > Star Trek, always will be. Not to mention that TNG had much more action, better plot lines, and Q.

And Kirk couldnt outsmart a bagel.
