Well, seeing how you two had been together for about 3 years it seems that it was a pretty serious relationship. Also, after a year and 2 girlfriends he suddenly decides to just ring you up seems pretty odd. I must ask why did you guys break up in the first place? That would help alot in deciding if he still misses you or what not.

i dont think he misses her, because he probably wanted to get back with her, just for some extra fun. because of my own experience.. [went out with a girl for 2 years, finally broke up with her, and got another gf..]. i used to call my ex.. just to get an extra kick or two.
