look at it this way. it shouldnt be but is. if i say damn, and wasnt quoting/reading something, i get in trouble at home. my teachers all slipped up last year and said it and had to apologize because it was cursing and being teachers they werent allowed to.

stupid prudes today(i can say that because im one of them...). they make a big deal out of everything. puritanism never fully went away, but left remains that still haunt us today. its also a result of janet jackson-gate but i wont go there...

I guess it al depends on what kind of person your talking to. Like if your in school, you'll probably get in trouble for using it but I personally don't believe that there's anything wrong with it.

Still...you're cursing them. But that still doesn't justify the fact that the majority of school systems do not allow you to use the word. Furthermore, why would it be in question if it wasn't? Yes, it's a swear word, but it doesn't have the same strength as others. I'm sure if rap artists would use the word more, it would gain more strength and popularity.
