Okay, I have a new boyfriend and he's a really great guy. Everything is going really well except whenever I'm with him and I'm quiet for more than 10 seconds he says "What's the matter?". It's driving me nuts. I'm not sure how to take it...if I really act like something is the matter or if he's just nervous. Has anybody ever had anything like this happen?

yeah it happens to me alot with my family. but i am just say, "if there is something wrong, i will either tell you or you will just know." and they were like, "okay " but at least they stopped asking me.

Yeah, my boyfriend does that all the time. Even on the phone, if I'm quiet for just a little while he'll think something's wrong. Dont worry too much about it, but if it REALLY bothers you, just tell him to stop.

Lol, my boyfriend that that to me on Saturday. "You look so sad. What's wrong?" I'm like "Nothing's wrong." A few minutes later, he asks that again. Argh. LOL. Anyhoo, he just cares. :P

Just tell him you're thinking or something.

Hehe. Maybe he's nervous about the whole situation and wants to make sure he didn't screw anything up.

I know he cares and that's why i know that's part of why he says it but he also always goes "what's up?" i just think he doesn't know what else to say and thinks we should be talking nonstop haha...i'm just not that kind of a girl where i talk 24/7

Anyways, back on topic. I think he's just concerned that when you're quiet, you're not having fun. You should be happy that he cares that much to know what you're thinking.

LOL, I do that sometimes with my boyfriend... it's probably because you are being quite... I know that my boyfriend gets quiet sometimes and sometimes it's because he's mad or whatever.. and thats the reason why when he's quiet I ask him "what's wrong" because I think that he's mad...
