what i want to know is how i can view other people ip addresses can i do this..??
cause i write sumthing in this girls chatterbox and said i was this girl who ii wasnt she knew it was me cause of the ip address....

that i know of you can't stop people from viewing it, in the chatter box that isn't your full IP address just some of it and thats whats its there for, for other people to know who you are if you're causing a problem. if you want it to be a different number just go on someone else computer because everyone computer has their own unique IP address

IP addresses aren't unique based on computer per se, he wouldn't have to go to someone elses computer to "change" his.

He could masquerade through a proxy that masks his IP, or use some unsuspecting victim on the same ISP as the person he's trying to impersonate to mask himself.

i know this doesnt answer your question...

but.. does anyone know where you can find out info , etc.. with someone's ip address? Nothing bad.. just if they're causing trouble.

The best you can probably do is run a WHOIS on the IP at ARIN...

Or you can find a program like McAffee VisualTrace which will give you a pretty good idea as to where the person is located.

The only way to get actual information is by calling the ISP... but you better have a subpoena or be good at social engineering.

Well, in chatterbox flooble, just click on that brown booklet at the top of the chatterbox, and you can see everyone's IP address without having to click on the names one by one.

Or just tell that person who is blaming you to get an effing chatterbox SN Tracker because she/he can't get their facts straight. :D
