Modest mouse all the way. Don't judge the band by Float On, it's a terribly boring song. Listen to their other songs like "talking sh!t about a pretty sunset".

exactly! i HATE modest mouse...i wish they would go back to being all unknown and crap...um, they're just not my type...

If you base the decision on singles, I'd have to say Modest Mouse. But I got their latest cd and every other song outside of the two singles just sucked IMO. And I've only heard one song by Franz Ferdinand which I don't like that much... soo I would have to say none of the above.
