Don't you just hate it when people talk badly bout themselves to get compliments? This drives me crazy. Like when girls call themselves fat and they aren't. Or when someone gets a B and says something like, "Yeah, I know I'm dumb." Am I the only person that has this pet peeve???

no ur not the only who feels that way. i feel that way too. i mean sometimes i bring myself down but im usually just joking around.

yeah i dislike it but its okay, when you think about it its kinda sad how they get compliments that way when ordinary people can recieve compliments without making false comments about ourselves, rofl

I hate it when people do that too... but i try to keep in mind that there are some REALLY skinny girls out there that truely think they are fat. You never know...

They are just fishing for compliments. That's all. Because their STUPID. I mean it's like. "Go whine to your mom."

It's called FISHING FOR COMPLIMENTS and man I'm pretty sick of it. It's stuck up to say you're really hot, but it's also being fake by saying you're ugly when you're not. And ppl w/ those weight issues.. "OMG I'm 75 lbs. and I'm 5'5! Help me because I can't figure out why I'm so darn thin and I don't know what to do so i'll make myself feel better by making a thread about how heavy I weigh and them people will make me feel better so I can feel like i"m the thinnest person here!" Yes, that was a LONG RUN-ON sentence, but hey that's just how it goes.

it annoys me when its relli obvious the person is just trying to get attention. but like, some people relli think a B is bad *cough* me *cough* but that's because of the pressure of like my parents, so if i get a B and am all pissed about it, im not tryin to get attention or compliments, just ranting. *shrugs*

wen ppl do that i just agree that they r and they should lose weight. and i say theyre losers for getting B's. they seem to get disappointed. that makes my day.

haha yeah thats probably the best way to handle it. idk some people who say that probably do believe they're stupid or fat though. like if their parents tell them they should get all A's or something...they probably think they're stupid for getting a B
