well, i am methodist (christian) and i believe that god created the earth (or whatever the bible says) but i started thinkin'. how did he do it. i was like well i guess he was magic or something if he could do everything. and then i was like he got the Virgin Mary prego without having sex!? (it was god right?). and just started to get really technical about all the stuff. well i was talking to my friend about it, he is really godly, and he said, "if you have to think about it, and question it, than you must not believe in him." but i was like, "i do." i really do believe all that stuff, heaven, hell, jesus.

You could believe in God and call yourself a Deist, instead of Christian. Though, it is said that you will go to Hell for doing so...

some questions we will never kno the answers only god will...and if u believe when u die ur going 2 heaven...which u say u believe wat the bible says....then when u go 2 heaven u shall ask good ....yea i think u believe in god...i just have alot of questions...and u should ask more questions...that way u can understand it more and more...pray about it aight

i think its kind of dumb...most of the people i meet are so scared of going to hell they force themselves to believe in god and the bible and to pray and always be thinking "i have jesus in my heart" its just dumb....i've had alot of long descussions with my friend, shes penacostle(which is christian as well) and she said when you start to question how god and the world was created its the devil trying to take advantage of your thoughts.....i dont know about any one else but i know i think for myself, and that i don't believe the **** that is the bible :)

And a Deist? Isn't that a person who believes that God created the world, but then ceased to intervene in human affairs? I don't quite agree with that, but it can explain things such as why there is suffering in the world.

... that is indeed the definition of Deism, albeit a generalized one because as there are denominations of Christianity, there are different variations of Deism as well.

I prefer the definition that Deism is the belief in a Creator based on nature, and the light of logic/reasoning better than the one you've provided.

I think...that you can be someone who just follows the guides of Christianity. I take it that you're a good person who has good intentions, and doesn't sin? Well, you're still following the morals, etc.

It's just that, if you're a modern person, you'll think more scientifically about everything. You might not understand how God created the Earth, but what's more important is that believing in Him makes you a better person, don't you agree? And that's the whole point of religion, isn't it?

Tehre is a guy who asked the same question and found out most of the stuff was true. Now he is a christian and he wrote a book about it but I don't know the name of the book right off my head

the stars don't exist, according to the bible. not the way you think they exist. they can't be millions of light years away. the bible doesn't say light years exist, so light years don't exist.


the bible also doesn't say anything about flu vaccines, virueses, bacteria, infection, exc.

the bible doesn't tell you how to do CPR.

yet science does. logic does.
