I posted about this in the girls' locker room, and so far I've had no advice from any of the chickas, so maybe you guys might be able to give me your insight on this...
To sum it up, me and this guy are kinda falling for each other. Problem is, I'll be moving away from him - for good - in 6 months. Not military or anything, but I move around a lot (a new state every few years or so) and we both really like each other. We've known each other for 5 years. What would you guys do in this situation? Would you try to date the girl anyway despite the distance, or would it be best to not go for it at all?

Well, everyone is different.
But if I was to be in that case, I'd probably try to start something, but that's just me. After I move, we'd probably end up breaking up with each other.
Trust your own judgement. =)

Hm.
I might do something about it.
But then again.. I might not.
Make sure you let him be able to contact you.. (phone #, IM, email addy, etc..)
You can make up your mind then.. or now. I'm not sure what I'd do.
I might start something.. but, I don't know..

I don't know about that, if you two love each other enough, it'll work out.

im not saying that it never last, its just that alot of things you have to take into effect before you actually put in the commitment to go though with the long distance relationship. theres trust, trusting that your signifacant other won't cheat on your while you're away. commitment: if one ones commited to the relationship then it ends because theres no point in going on with it. asking yourself if you REALLY know this person. he or she might be some rapist or some killer that might just be trying to trick you. you could never know. theres more but i can't think of any right now

Won't love and trust make it work in the end? If you trust them not to cheat on you and if you love them enough, it'll work out.

That's where the trust comes in. I'm in one right now, I love her more than anything and would trust her with my life.

love could mean a lot of things, it doesn't always have to be a feeling, i looked it up in the dictionary because i was bored.
1. feel affection for
2. enjoy greatly
3. stong affection
4. warm attachment
5. beloved person
maybe she might not love him (in your defination of love) but she might care for him or apprieciate him

personally i wouldn't know, so i can't answer it, ask waccoon. thats why as I said before, "trust" plays a big role in any relationship. without it, it wouldn't last

Nobody would talk with me that much, both on the phone and online, and deal with all my crap if they didn't love me.
