I lay there
with waves of misery
battering my already-tattered soul
i felt so numb
that your angry shouts and yells
could sadden me no further
although i never did anything
you always came back to criticize
and bury me with your once painful accusations
but i always kept quiet
paralyzed by my depression.

I can relate to that one. When he screamed at me, all I could do was feel guilty and sad by the words that he was saying.. nice poem <33

i wrote this poem because all my mom does is yell and criticize....whenever i do something she always finds something to yell about. well im glad u liked my poem.
